My final post regarding EPOCH Legend is dedicated to Clowning which ended up being my favorite for various different reasons. One is cause both me and sue are part of creating items for that theme. Secondly, Nyasyousa Oh and Shiroyagi Writer from Picnic created the venue. Both of them have builds and creations I have admired for a very long time. Having the pleasure and honor to work with the two of them for this event was a huge highlight for both me and sue! Finally and the biggest reason of all, some of my favorite items from this event comes from Clowning. The designers for this theme truly pulled out all their big guns, being absolutely creative and fun.
The items on the header image all comes from Clowning, a beautiful white tent from Picnic, which is actually the event space itself, can come in handy for either an open air camping tent, or even tents to use for parties in SL. I love Happy Mood’s Pop Up book as well which has adorable fantasy animals making it an item I love to have out just for displays. The book comes with a few poses to make your avatar seemingly come merge with it, like popping out from a fairy tale. The sheep also comes from Picnic and LOOK it’s wearing socks!! Need I say more about why it’s just simply brilliant?
I created 3 different sets of looks to go with the clowning theme; hopefully you guys will enjoy it! Once again, any item uncredited, feel free to ask me about em. I’ll go back to surling things a lil properly soon, I’ve been operating extremely slow with blogging lately T_T
The first look is a lil more edgy as I try to edge up Beetlebones‘ Harlequin Mini Dress, sue did an amazing hand drawn glitter texture on the dress and I absolutely love how it looks on the side when the dress poofs up like a little tutu. The skin I’m wearing is My Uglydorothy’s contribution for the event, she did 3 different sets of skin and each of them consist of really interesting clownlike combinations.
The next 2 looks uses the same bodysuit layer from The Secret Store as I love how soft and delicate she managed to make the ruffles look. I wanted to keep a twin like apparel showing both masculine and feminine ways to sport this. Both skins are also from My Uglydorothy.
The masculine version showcases Iruco’s items. A fancy men’s vest and a spiked up mens hairstyle, iruco’s items were a rather interesting take on the clowning theme, not the usual brightly colored clown we see around.
With the more girly one I layered the bodysuit over House of Fox‘s own clowning bodysuit and wore Newreem Waffle (duboo)’s hat which is one of the funnest item I’ve seen made. I don’t quite need to elaborate more since Newreem knows how much I love this
Finally my last look for Clowning and EPOCH in general is a happier clown sporting makeup from Milk Motion, Top from House of Fox – which I /love/ – and shoes from North West! I was surprised at how well this top fits over cold logic’s jumper and the flared pants silhouette makes it appropriate for clowning theme in general.
I hope you guys enjoyed the looks and thank you for being patient with all this EPOCh spam :3 Drop on by to the venues if you haven’t, I’m sure you won’t regret it. I missed seeing Second Life events having a more artsy theme as opposed to sales and discounts, its only through events like these we truly can see how much talent we have surrounding us.
Thank you to all the organizers for their hard work and the designers for being so absolutely creative. To everyone who has been flickering, blogging and plurking us, thank you thank you! I can’t say enough thanks to all the support and appreciation!
