Sorry for the weird Blog malfunction yesterday! I forgot to do a little bit of updating, so my bad! I hope everything shows up now, if you’re reading this then it certainly should and big yay \o/. Onto the Alphabet Challenge this week.
When I was doing D, I had to hold myself back a little cause I wanted to do so much. First I had the idea of D for dolls, since I got mocha’s adorable doll house from Choice 2011. That didn’t quite work out, then I wanted to do D is for Deer but I ended up with a very mismatched outfit. So I settled for D stands for Dream… the idea of being in my dream room with things that I love and incorporating some of the other ideas I had in mind. I ended up getting to wear some really old items that I never worn enough off, so some of these are retired items unfortunately. But I still hope it’ll bring back some memories or shed some light on some vintage SL items.
I remember the first time around when I did the color Plum, I was very hesitant about it. I’m not super fond of purples, but doing this color during the fall season helps a lot especially since designers are releasing so many richly deep colored things to keep in tune with the colder months. This time around, I was definitely a lot more willing to ease into the color.
The color posted on Luna’s blog is a lighter shade of plum, I decided to go with a deep plum which you usually find on the fruit itself. This time around, I also added other colors into the look to ease out the monochromatic palette~
Have you guys been to Lula lately? If not, you do need to take a trip down to Tres Blah to check out their new releases. One release in particular that I really like are their Juju jeans which come in a variety of washes and also 3 different pants options, flared, straight and rolled up. Denim staples are as important in sl as they are in real life and these are one pair that’s super classic and will last a long time. I decided to mix and match 2 different looks using Tres Blah’s items and hopefully it’ll entice you to check the releases out!
I’m sure by now most of you might have heard that there’s a huge new Paper Couture collection out at Tableau, this long awaited collection from Ava and Cora is truly stunning — with rich tones, sequined gowns and amazing ruffles. Shoes and poses have also been made in collaboration with other great designers on the grid and all in all, this is one collection that can blow you away. I blogged one of their dresses during Modavia Fashion Week but the dresses and jewelry really inspired me to give them another go. This time, I really wanted to do a full fledge photoshoot, something that hopefully captures the beauty of the items in an interesting way. But not much writing for this post, I’ll let the images do all the talking (And partly cause I’m about to pass out from lack of sleep)
I really hope you guys like these! It’s some of my proudest blog postings as well.
Please Note: The images have been edited greatly in these looks and the best way to view them is through flickr on a black background ^^
The Alphabet Challenge has been one of my favorite blogging challenges I’ve ever done, just because it allows me to mix and match a lot more than usual and once in a while showcase furnitures and random stuff from inventory as well!
So this week we’re doing the letter C! For this letter I decided to do a mix of cakes and coffee — cafe items basically. Only through this challenge I realize how much random stuff I have D: After my initial inventory sorting, I have yet to touch my furniture folder which I bet is a little insane, hopefully one day I’ll get the time to slowly sort through that pile of my inventory. Hope you guys like this cafe inspired look!
